In June and July,1961 Tubby Hayes, with Orchestra, Quartet, and Sextet recorded the music from the film "All Night Long" for Fontana. Some titles are from the soundtrack itself. Film music does not usually reflect the jazz musician's best work. The original soundtrack is available on a Harkit CD - (All Night Long - The original Soundtrack).

This page covers recordings up to 1963 only, but Tubby Hayes was recorded regularly until his death in 1973 and because his recordings still sell well this discography has been extended to include recordings made after 1963, some of which were not issued until well after his death in 1973. Many of these later issues have been live recordings with, in some cases, poor recording quality and poor music. In many cases these discs are just extended blowing sessions with musicians not of Hayes' standard. Many of these later recordings were never issued as records and came out only when CDs became the normal audio format. 1964 onwards...
