This STATS 2004 website has no connection with anybody connected with county cricket, publishing or any media activity whatsoever. It has been set up to provide statistical information for the benefit of those who follow cricket, whether as active spectators or not. It is the kind of information that the counties and the ECB could have been making available, via the internet, for several seasons now, but for some reason most have chosen not to. If you attend a match at a county ground you will be able to buy a "scorecard". This is usually a piece of card with a number of adverts and twenty two names on it. There will be no information about these twenty two cricketers. Why not?......If you look for information in your newspaper you may find a detailed match scoreboard but no other statistics other than a few first class batting and bowling averages plus the league tables. If you read a tabloid newspaper forget cricket stats. The monthly cricket magazines largely ignore county cricket stats. The county internet sites are very variable and as you would expect concentrate on their own team. This internet site attempts to provide a quick, concise and highly detailed statistical coverage to the whole county scene. Go to the Latest county stats... menu of this STATS 2004 website and have a look at a range of cricket stats you have probably never seen anywhere else... Unlike other cricket sites on the net this one carries no pictures or advertisements. This means that the pages download rapidly saving you time and money. The match fact sheets etc. for you to download are "txt" files which can be printed as they are, or can be edited and formatted easily in a word processor. You are free to use these files in any way you like. If you copy them for use by others please acknowledge your source and quote this website address. No guarantee is given as to the accuracy of the data included in the programs and no responsibility can be accepted for any results arising from the use of the programs on any computer. Downloading will be deemed aceptance of these conditions. Any errors advised via the E-mail address will be corrected as soon as possible.

It should be noted that the stats on the website and in the STATS 2004 program do not include records of players of any of the following teams: Oxford, Cambridge, or any of the 'university centres of cricket excellence' teams, British Universities, Under 19's, Womens test teams, minor counties or any other teams who play in the Trophy competition. For season 2004 Oxford, Cambridge, Loughborough and Durham University matches are regarded as 'first class' and performances by county players in these matches will be included in the figures shown here. Other UCCE matches are not first class and county player performances in these matches will not be included. County players Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy stats are included although performances by minor county or other 'non-county' sides are not...
