Ronnie Scott discography - 2...
After opening his club in 1959 Ronnie Scott was reluctant to do any more studio recordings, in fact he was reluctant to record at all - there was almost a five year gap between his sextet recording for Phillips in early 1957 and the November 1961 recording with Zoot Sims above. Most of his later recordings were made live at "Ronnie Scott's". It has to be said that the difficulties of live recording are evident on some of these recordings, particularly the earlier ones for "Ronnie Scott's Jazz House" label. However Scott was probably the major figure in British modern jazz and all his recordings are listed to form a complete record of his recorded work. prior to 1963
