A Brief Look at Croft Village


Croft is a small village about 4 miles north-east of Warrington lying between Winwick and Culcheth. There are two churches, two primary schools, three pubs and a large playing field with childrens' play equipment area. Other facilities include horse riding, a golf range, a bowling green and a hairdresser's.

RAF Croft derelict gate to former RAF base
Remains of the entrance to the former base in Lady Lane. In the 1950's it was used as a transit camp for US service personnel and dependants. Click the picture to find Staff Sgt.
