Q. So why am I interested in Sliders?
A. I started to watch the show half way through the third series on the BBC; I had flicked onto the programme a couple of times, but never really followed it much. One night though I saw the Sliders light, and started to follow the show. I like the format and characters, the way that even though there is a difference with age and race between group members, they work well together as a team. The adventures that the group end up facing are always interesting and have a good deal of slightly sarcastic humour in them.
I only have a couple of sore point's concerning Sliders. The first is about BBC scheduling; the series is currently not to be renewed or repeated. You can help though, visit The Sliders Campaign, once there you can add your support for the shows return.
Another criticism is directed towards Universal and St.Clare, Sliders products are very difficult to come by. The items that I have found with exception for the two Sliders books are imported from the US. I believe that there is an interest in Sliders strong enough to warrant more merchandise throughout the World. There are currently not even any videos available, although you can stop by The Sliders DVD/VHS Campaign. Set up to ensure a new media release.
