Mojacar is quite unlike any of the other coatal towns in Spain. Here you will not find high-rise hotels or the usual problems found in some Spanish resorts. What you will find is a friendly place with a unique 'home from home' feel about it, ideal for family holidays, set between the Sierra Cabrera mountains and the Mediterranean. Where the sun shines more than anywhere else in Europe, building height is strictly limited to a maximum of three levels and the unique North African influence is very strong with flat roofs and domes everywhere.  There are over 17kms of blue flag beaches (the best beach is right in front of the Bajos del Bancal apartments with soft sand and palm trees) a short drive will take you to wild natural beaches in the Cabo de Gata natural park (just past Carboneras). Once people have discovered Mojácar they normally return many times. If you are looking for a break away from the stresses of life in a friendly place with warm sunshine, low prices and a welcome from the locals then Mojácar is for you. However if you are looking for some more life you will find it during the months of July and August when Spanish families take their holiday in Mojácar, it can be especially busy at the weekends, although the beaches are never crowded. Mojácar has plenty of places to eat and drink, some of the restaurants and bars are very good quality, some are very good value for money but all are family friendly. There are some very good golf courses, the course 'Valle del Este' near Vera is 1st class, there is even a water park at Vera. When you book your holiday we will send you a 'Guide to Mojácar' which we keep updated with all the info and recommendations you will need to get you right into your holiday from day one.

Mojacar is set on the Costa Almeria, approximately mid-way between Malaga and Alicante at the eastern end of Andalucia. The best airport to use is Almeria (which is approx. 1 hours drive), although Alicante or Murcia can equally be used.
