Time Management |
Style |
Workshop format, ie small groups, so that the |
course is very interactive. The emphasis is on |
people developing an action plan, with practical tasks |
and habit changes, to which they feel committed. |
Method |
We usually recommend a one-day course with a |
half-day follow-up. We spend at least half the first day |
looking at prioritising (the key to time management) |
and then the second half looking at tools to help make it happen (diary management, including Outlook/Lotus |
Notes tips if applicable, managing time wasters, overcoming procrastination and desk/email management). |
This programme can be particularly effective when run for a team. The emphasis is: |
- where do we want to be? |
- what's stopping us getting there? |
- what are we going to do about it? |
We would strongly recommend a follow-up, usually half a day. This is important to: |
- celebrate successes |
- give a target date to work to ("what gets reviewed gets done") |
Course materials |
Handouts and a book on Time Management to help people remember the key messages of the course. |
Suitable for |
Everyone who has some discretion about how he/she uses time - it is also helpful if participants have been in their current assignment for at least two months. |
Course size |
4-16 participants (max 12 recommended) |
