So you want to know about the rules of the Webring! I have added a rules section, not because I feel we need one, but because it makes my position clear (as webring master) as to what I think is acceptable for this ring. I want everybody and anybody who likes the work of Mr Joseph Linsner to be able to move around this ring and enjoy the hard work and effort of dedicated fans and collectors. These rules are for the protection of the webring as well as the people who use it. If you are a member of the Cry for Dawn Ring and dislike any of the rules that I am now making clear, feel free to tell me why so we can discuss your disapproval and remedy it. I don't envisage any problems after all I use a similar ethical set of rules, my own conscience, when I evaluate a site for the ring. Rules for sites in the dawn webring: Site must continue to have Dawn/Cry for Dawn/Linsner Content. Site must be accessible at all times... to keep the flow of the ring. Site must not hold material that might cause offence to ring members. (I am a member of this ring too and I don't want see anything offensive on the net, especially where it is inappropriate.) The Webring buttons must not be tampered with or altered in any way. The Webring code must not be tampered with or altered in any way. The Webring links should be displayed on the page or on a page directly linking to the dawn pages.(I say 'should be' because some sites have separate pages for webrings and it sometimes suits the ring member to have the images in a links section). If you have any concerns about the location of the buttons please mail me and ask first. (These apply from the time of the request to join the webring) I do not think any of these, rules is too harsh a word for them, guidelines are unreasonable or restrictive to ring members. I want to state that I am not pro-censorship, I just want to only provide material that is relevant and fitting for the subject matter of this ring. I am proud to be a member of this webring as well as it founder.. and I want to keep it that way. Thanx, Mark (Webring Master)
