My Dying Bride have crossed gothic rock riffs with the heavy doom licks of modern heavy metal to create their very own brand of deathly music.

What makes MDB different is that their music is so much more listenable than the durge that most so called bands, in this genre, produce. 'Like Gods of the Sun' is by far their best album and has gathered them a wider recognition of their talents.

34.788% Complete took a bold step forward which, I personally really enjoyed, they have now doubled back on for the forthcoming 'Light at the End of the World' Due out November 1st. Few bands can get away with six members, keyboards and violins to produce such a fine style. Check em out if you can.

MEISTERWERK I & ][
The first part of the My Dying Bride retrospective has been released, with part two to follow shortly, and while there's nothing totally new here it is a worth while purchase.

You get a CD-ROM video for 'Cry of Mankind' which is totally atmospheric & pretentious and a selection of tracks which were voted for on www.mydyingbride.org (my faves that I voted for made it on!) as well same some of the rarer demo material and a remix.
