The following photograph is of the famous planting of the American flag on the lunar surface by 'Buzz' Aldrin and Neil Armstrong. As a standard, throughout this assignment, I have indicated the topic of interest within the picture with a '*' notation.
This picture from the Apollo 11 mission to the moon was taken by a 16mm camera mounted on the side of the lunar module. Notice that Buzz Aldrin's shadow appears to much longer than that of his colleague. The only light source that NASA claim that was present was that of the Sun itself. The sun should not have been able to have created such a bizarre discrepancy in length. |
