Music notes & Format

The music clips on this site are streaming audio files, you need RealPlayer (FREE) to hear them, use the links on this or the index page to download if you are NOT one of the 130 million users who already have. Future site sonification will require Beatnik Player (Also FREE), so if you get this too (3 minutes tops) you'll be ready for the cutting edge.

If the music stutters the following may be happening:

Your PC may not be fast enough. I've tried the site out on an old 486 33MHz PC and it will play cleanly if you let it catch up and don't ask your PC to do anything else while it does.
The connection speed may not be fast enough, it's configured for 28 Kbps modem speeds (nominally 20 Kbps) or more but at times heavy Internet usage may slow it down.

The music clips on this site are all by artists who are not signed by major labels, they are either promoting their music on their own or are distributed by a small independent label. Whilst all the music on this site is of a reasonable sound quality, we ain't 'Napster'; so the track has been edited & mixed down so as to provide a sample for your personal appraisal and I hope enjoyment. You can also turn it off it you don't.

You can not record it or save it to your hard drive.
