This is a very welcome addition to Gibson's range, a class looking guitar for a pretty reasonable price.

Around £1000.00.

They have been selling very well.

People obviously know a good deal when they see one.

Where's the catch?

Well, this guitar is no longer available in the UK it has been withdrawn from the range. In the USA the guitar has been selling well too. But Gibson know a Golden Goose when they see one.

I am told that in America the price will be increased by around $400.00 with some of the no cost options now being cost options.

Do you think that this guitar will reappear at some industry show in the not too distant future, maybe with a different name, but with the price now reflecting the USA increases?

This would still make the Gibson a good guitar, but it kinda takes the gloss off it, don't it.

Heritage 150
Almond Burst.

Ever fancied a Les Paul but didn't want to pay £1200.00 to £1700.00 for it.

So did I. So I bought this guitar.

It's made in the same factory as all the Gibson Les Paul's were made in before Gibson moved production and the quality went down the tubes. (Gibson have sorted out the the problems they had in the late 80's & early 90's and the qualities now as good as it ever was.)

It's made by, mostly, all the same staff that made the Gibson's before Gibson made them redundant. Most aspects of this guitar are better than the Gibson, if not, they are at least equal.

I feel I've got a more genuine Les Paul than the current Gibson product at a fraction of the price. (Where are Gibson's made now anyway, Asia?)

You can buy this guitar in the UK list is about £900.00. If you buy it from the USA it will cost you the $ price (much less) plus about £85.00 if you walk with it through customs, £150.00 shipped and you run around for 1 hour to pay carriage, duty & freight handling charges. Or £200.00 if you let somebody else do it and deliver it to your door.

I bought mine from Ed Roman who handles so many Heritage Guitars he can have the smaller neater tail piece & tune'o'matic bridge fitted and a prettier pick guard.

Heritage still make all the traditional Gibson's styles too. So what are you waiting for?
