Musitoot is now called MUSICMASTERS. A youth band of boys and girls aged 12 to 18+ From 12 different schools in Bexley, Bromley, Dartford,Greenwich and Lewisham. Funded entirely by band subs. Musitoot is now the under 11’s junior band. ( With no members at present.) 11 CD’s REPRESENT A COMPLETELY NEW STYLE OF MUSIC. And a new band since 2000. The best popular tunes from only the last 45 years ,played with a different set of instrumental ears using only 100% real instruments. Nothing like any school band . Unique ,innovative instrumentation of 8 saxophones– 6 flutes, 6 clarinets, 3 singers. 20 youth musicians training with professionals on the Piano, Bass Drums and Sax . Alan Holmes, their musical director and instrumental teacher (they are ALL his woodwind pupils) Plays the Baritone sax in between conducting. "It seemed to make sense to get all my pupils to play together in a band .So, 12 years and £30,000 later this is what it sounds like" 9 mjc concerts cost over £26,500. In 2000 £3,250 from the 'National Lottery Awards for All' towards live CD recording of specially arranged music. A year of work to rehearse and fine tune 23 arrangements specially written for us from professional arranger Barrie Elmes—Barrie with Bass guitarist Dick Thomas and Alan Holmes, were all members of top 60's instrumental group " Sounds Incorporated" look it up on ON UTUBE. Runners up 'Best British Instrumental Group' to the Shadows in the 1965 AND 1966 New Musical Express Poll winners concert at Wembley. 3 Beatles tours including America to 56,000 people at the Shea Stadium ,42,000 at the Hollywood Bowl on two nights. Nov ‘Music of the Millenium’ Mick Jagger Centre funded £4,500 by National Lottery 1st CD. professional video using three cameras. 2001. NOV ’Soundtrack to Peoples lives’ Mick Jagger centre. No video on day. CD and film made after the event. 2002. NOV ‘Dancing in the Street ‘, Mick Jagger Centre CD and 1st DVD . 2003. JULY ‘Swinging the Blues Away’ Holy Trinity Church. DVD and live mini disc CD. 2004 .NOV ‘Swing When your Singing’ Holy Trinity Church. DVD and live CD. 2005. FEB ‘Gig Aid’ Mick Jagger Centre raised £2,040 for Save the Children.
