Me, me, me

So my name is Richard. Dick or Dicky occasionally, but mostly Rich.
I'm a mountain biker, a music lover, and a football fan.
(proper football, with a round ball)

...And I'm into web authoring. Professionally I'm a chemical engineer, although I did author and still maintain my employers' web site. Currently my job sees me estimating how many workers are likely to be killed on a certain Alaskan oil producing site. This always makes for jolly conversation.

I studied at the University of Bath, graduating in 1994. Here I was lucky enough to meet a whole host of excellent people who have since become my lifeblood. It remains a surprising comfort to know that they're always at the end of a phone or modem. Sadly that's where we stay most of the time - not sharing nearly as many beers as we really should...

Currently I live with my brother in Guildford, 35 mins on the train from London. Guildford is 'nice', certainly not cool, but has some good pubs and a great curry house. I'd rather be in Bath, but it's that or a job.

Web projects I currently have going include Sizzling HTML Jalfrezi, an HTML reference and tutorial; Chicken-Tikka-Masala, a resource for curry lovers; and Pompeii Interactive, a rather splend resource for Classics teachers.
