A brand spanking new purchase this - still available in ltd edn edition packaging. Its one of those albums, I've decided, that if you're only going to get a single album by the artist, then this is the one to get.

For me, this recording releases the real cinematic qualities of Spiritualized. Strings layered with brass and feedback crash down around, while sucking you in to the immediate, haunting vocals; building into crescendo and collapsing to a stripped bare diatribe, only to burst into life a few bars later. True, you can try and stick it on in the background, but you just can't help but stop and listen.
